JESSICA Prier
Principal DesignerJessica Prier is a seasoned interior designer with a deep passion for creating homes that are not only beautiful but also restorative and timeless. After graduating from college in 2005, she quickly immersed herself in the world of design, honing her craft at Dungan Nequette Architects and later at Nequette Architecture & Design. It was during her years at Nequette that Jessica's design philosophy took shape—one rooted in clarity, purpose, and an innate creative intuition. In 2021, Jessica founded Birmingham Design House with the goal of crafting spaces that are serene, functional, and enduring. Her approach to design is marked by an intuitive sense of balance and a keen eye for detail, which has allowed her to build a distinctive niche in designing restful lake retreats, quintessential hunting cabins, and thoughtfully design family homes. Known for her warm, calming aesthetic, Jessica’s work has quickly gained recognition among peers and clients alike for its ability to foster connection and tranquility.
Outside of her design work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family—whether it's tinkering on a personal project with her husband, Daniel, or keeping up with her kids' creative pursuits. A self-proclaimed morning person, she loves the quiet stillness of early mornings with a cup of coffee and time with Jesus, before the household stirs. While her days may be busy, Jessica finds relaxation by any body of water—a lake or beach—often with a good book in hand or curled up for a nap on a rainy afternoon. Her balance of family life, design, and the pursuit of quiet moments is at the heart of what makes Jessica’s approach to design so deeply rooted in creating spaces that offer both peace and purpose.
Jordan Elkins
Office ManagerJordan oversees procurement, BDH’s warehouse and all inventory, as well as scheduling for furniture, drapery, and art installs. With a background in banking, sales, and special events, she is an administrative powerhouse with a remarkable gift for organization. Her experience also includes party and travel planning and PTO leadership, making her a dynamic part of the team. Jordan is married to Eric Elkins, and together they have three children.
